SUB92
Real DJs, no commercials, one dial.
Below 92 on the dial
In the United States, the FM band from 88 to 92 is reserved for noncommercial, educational radio. That stretch of the dial is where college, community and public stations live, and where people, not playlists, still decide what plays next.
SUB92 listens to what those stations are playing and helps you find the right one right now. Tell it an artist and how much variety you want; it finds the show on the air whose DJ plays closest to that, wherever the station happens to be. The best station for you is often a long way from home.
How it works
We read the song information stations already publish. The algorithm's job is not to pick songs; it is to find the right human. When you press play, your browser connects straight to the station's own stream, so the station counts you as a listener. We never restream audio.
Bookshop.org for public radio. Station pages carry a donate link, right next to the station's name.
